I actually was introduced to Nina by that 80's Channel # 5 commercial with "My Baby Just Cares For Me" as the music...
That song haunted me for YEARS..., till i finally tracked down a vinyl 12' of it, years later.....
And thats how i discovered Dr. Nina....
For those of you who aren't fans of the HBO show "Six Feet Under" ...maybe now u'll have a reason......

Sun, July 30, 2006 - 2:25 PMI had heard Nina Simone before but it wasn't until I was on a show with some dancers 4 dancers who performed to "4 Women" that I had to know everything about her....all her music...and her life....the earliest song I'd heard by her was "Young, Gifted, and Black"....some choir I was in did the song....
